No. 05 — Lemongrass & Sage. The plainest bar in the line, and deliberately so. A base of four saponified fair-trade oils, scented with two essential oils and nothing else — no synthetic fragrance, no colourant, no detergent surfactant. If your skin reacts to most soap, this is where to start.

What it does

• Short label by design. Six ingredients total. Fewer inputs means fewer things for reactive skin to object to.
• Cleanses without stripping. True saponified oils lather rich and rinse clean, leaving the skin's own oils largely intact.
• Herbal, not perfumed. Lemongrass reads sharp and green; sage rounds it out. It smells like a plant, not a candle.
• Fair trade and organic oils. Palm, coconut, sunflower and extra virgin olive.

How to use

Add warm water and work to a thick lather. Suitable face and body, daily. Rinse and stand on a draining dish — keeping the bar dry between uses is the single biggest factor in how long it lasts.
